The Regional Environmental Center (rec.org) informs about the European Commission (EC) support for innovative startups in sustainable energy.
The European Institute of Technology’s (EIT) Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) for InnoEnergy calls for proposals for innovative climate friendly energy technology ideas. Two among six fields in which KIC InnoEnergy strengthens European innovation and entrepreneurship are Renewable Energies and Smart technologies. It is being done through so-called ‘innovation projects’.
Financing ranges from 0.5 to 5 million euro for technology startups and lasts three years, while the technology is expected to be on the market in five years.
KIC InnoEnergy’s next call for proposals for innovative energy technology ideas opens on 30 June 2014 and closes on 28 November 2014. More information is available here.
