The EuCham Research Department releases new studies periodically, with rankings of European countries based on various socio-economic criteria. EuCham statistically analyzes and summarizes business and society-related data from a combination of reliable primary sources about the whole European continent (usually covering up to 44-48 countries). Based on solid primary sources, EuCham Charts are always a good base for thought-provoking statistical data.
Its most known publication is BECB – Best European Countries for Business, the business environment ranking of European countries. See the 2020 release here: Best European Countries for Business 2020
The ranking attracts every year considerable attention: for instance, it was republished by Forbes, promoted by several European embassies around the world, mentioned by a prime minister on the main television channel, mentioned by a country president in its speech in the parliament, and published by the investment promotion agency of Switzerland.
Best European Countries for Business (BECB) is currently on pause until 2026, as the World Bank research Doing Business, an important input for EuCham, is suspended. Its publications will resume with the 2026 edition.
In 2021, the Research Department published the COVID-19 vaccines comparison table (see www.eucham.info)
In October 2022, the first Economic Outlook was released, with the forecasts 2022 and 2023 regarding GDP growth, inflation, unemployment, and currency exchange rate for 46 countries –> Economic Outlook 2022/23/24
In December 2024, a new Economic Outlook was published, with forecast data for 2025 and 2026 –> European Economic Outlook 2025/26
